Meredith Klein, Executive Director

Meredith Klein began dancing tango in 1999 in Massachusetts and, little by little, it took over her life.  In 2005, she left her work as a grant writing consultant to move to Buenos Aires, where she lived for 3 years.  In 2006, she began working with Andres Amarilla, and together they have traveled throughout the world to teach & perform.  A partial list of cities in which they have given workshops and performances includes: Brisbane, Byron, and Sydney, Australia; Nicosia, Cyprus; Istanbul, Turkey; Gdansk, Poland; and Belo Horizonte, Brazil; along with more than 30 cities in the US and Canada.

In 2008, Andres & Meredith moved to Philadelphia and established the Philadelphia Argentine Tango School, of which Meredith is now Director.  Meredith continues to travel nationally and internationally to teach and perform. She guides a yearly Tango Tour to Buenos Aires, organizes innumerable events (practicas, milongas, seminars, and a tango festival), and teaches group classes & private lessons.

After moving to Philadelphia, Meredith was fortunate to find world-class instruction in Classical Ballet at Symmetry Dance Wellness.  She is currently pursuing the goal of executing reliable pirouettes on pointe as though her life depended on it.
