Carolyn Merritt (200-hour CYT) began practicing yoga in 2002 and she has led classes for people of all ages as well as bilingual (SP/EN) and chair yoga. Carolyn holds a Ph.D. in anthropology, has a background in ballet and modern dance, and is an avid tango practitioner. She is the author of Tango Nuevo) (University Press of Florida, 2012), and she writes about dance and performance for thINKingDANCE.
Hatha Flow is a moderately-paced, breath-centered yoga practice suitable for students of all levels. A typical class consists of postures (incorporating moments of stillness and movement), breath work, visualization, and meditation. Students will build strength and flexibility while moving toward a greater sense of balance, calm, and self-awareness.
