We offer regular drop-in Monday and Wednesday classes, plus online-only classes on Thursdays. Please scroll down for details on special workshops.

MONDAYS

Hybrid: In studio and on zoom
7-8 pm: Tango Technique (all levels). $25 or use your class card or monthly pass - Meredith
8-9:30 pm: Partners-Only tango (int/adv level). $30 or use your class card or monthly pass - Meredith & Andres

WEDNESDAYS

In studio only
Partner change classes, everyone tries both roles
7-8 pm: Intermediate Tango - Ignacio & Meredith
8-9 pm: Beginner Tango - start any week - FREE for anyone ages 30 and under - Andres & Jennine
9 pm-Midnight: Palermo Fishtown Milonga

Wednesday costs & promos:

One class - $25 or use your class card or monthly pass
Pay for the intermediate class and get the rest of the night free, except on live music nights.
Pay for the beginner class and get the rest of the night free, except on live music nights.
The Beginner class is free if you are age 30 or under.

12-1 pm: Intermediate-Advanced Partnered Tango - $25 or use your class card or monthly pass - Andres

Beginner Intensive (No experience needed!)

Start 2026 with tango

What better way to launch the New Year than to commit to dance tango?

Join us for a Beginner Intensive, covering the basics of tango movements and lead-and-follow communication in a friendly environment where everyone tries both roles. The Intensive is a fun and efficient way to jump-start your tango, in the course of one weekend.

No experience or partner necessary!

Advanced Beginner Intensive

Saturday, February 28 & Sunday, March 1

2-4 pm each day

Join us for another edition of our popular Advanced Beginner Intensive (level 2). This intensive prepares students to take any intermediate-level classes or workshops at the Philadelphia Argentine Tango School. To prepare for the Advanced Beginner Intensive, students should take the Beginner Intensive, or attend Wednesday 8 pm Beginner classes for at least one month.

All students will practice both roles. Because we are practicing both roles, even students with much more experience can benefit from taking the Advanced Beginner Intensive.

Topics covered include:

Cross System
The Cross Basic Step
Back Ochos and steps that are easily accessible from them
Lead-and-follow improvisation
Navigation of the social dance floor
Basic musicality: Phrasing and the Beat

Thursdays: New Online Classes!

We are excited to announce that Andres will be teaching two ongoing online-only classes on Thursdays. Andres combines live instruction with looping slow-motion video to give you lots of resources to understand the material and improve your tango.

These classes are included in PATS’s monthly pass. 60-minute class cards may also be used.
