Saturday, June 26:
8-9 pm: In-studio screening of “Tango en la Terraza” concert, featuring vocalist Eleonora Barletta & guitarist Ariel Argañaraz, and dancers Gustavo Rember & Marina Kenny
9:15 pm-after midnight: Milonga Qilombo featuring live music by bandoneonist Hugo Satorre (also part of the “Tango en la Terraza” series) and pianist Winnie Cheung, as well as DJ Kerry Kay
Milonga attendance is limited to 20 leaders, 20 followers, and 10 people who commit to dance both roles equally.
Sunday, June 27
3-4:30 pm: In-person Tango Lecture Series event: “Exploring the Big Four Orchestras”, presented by Hugo Satorre.
This workshop will delve into the “big” tango orchestras, D’Arienzo, Di Sarli, Troilo and Pugliese, to learn about them, recognize each orchestra’s unique style, and find the relationships between the music and the technical and musical possibilities in our dance.
