The Típica Messiez returns to Philadelphia for Milonga Qilombo at the Lithuanian Music Hall on Saturday, November 23. Adam Hoopengardner & Ciko Tanik will be visiting to teach and DJ. This very special night also features a preview performance of music from the upcoming musical, Bordello, by Barbara Bellman and Emiliano Messiez.

8-8:30 pm: First Look Reception. Meet the creative team behind the upcoming musical, Bordello, including Barbara Bellman (book & lyrics) and Emiliano Messiez (music). The VIP ticket includes entrance to this open bar reception, a flash drive with demos of the gorgeous music of Bordello, and special seating during the milonga.

8:30-9:30 pm: All-Levels Tango Class. Taught by Adam Hoopengardner & Ciko Tanik. No experience or partner needed.

9:30 pm-2 am: Milonga Qilombo. Featuring live music by the Típica Messiez, co-DJs Adam & Ciko. At 11:15 pm, we’ll have a 15-minute preview performance of music from the upcoming musical, Bordello. The performance includes musicians, dancers (Andres Amarilla & Meredith Klein) and a singer. Don’t miss the chance to be among the first to experience this amazing show!
