In 1985, he joined the cast of “Tango Argentino” and traveled worldwide with that show, widely credited for creating an international revival of tango dancing. He composed and arranged the music for “Forever Tango,” music that has been performed by the Boston Pops, and in the Colón Theater in Buenos Aires. He also composed and arranged for the shows “Tanguera,” “Tango Mirando al Sur,” and “Tango Emoción.”
Adrover has had a successful career composing and arranging for film, including work on the film Evita (1996), The Impostors (1998), and Fermín (2014).
He has composed major works for and appeared as soloist with various symphony and chamber orchestras. In 2005, he conducted and performed as soloist with the Metropole Orchestra of the NPS Radio Netherland, a performance that was released on CD.
In August 2005, the City of Buenos Aires named him an Illustrious Citizen of the city, for his contributions in the field of culture, both in Argentina and around the world.
